Digital Cams do have two modes to connect to:
- either normal USB device mode
or
- a PTP (PictureBridge) mode
When you connect the digi-cam via an usb-cable to the pc, the camera either asks
which connection mode you want to choose or you need setup the connection mode
on the digi-cam in advance.
- In USB-device mode: The cam-storage shows up as a normal connected USB stick
- in PTP-mode: The file system of the device is presented in Thunar through resource "gphoto2://[usb:00X,00Z]/".
The gphoto resource is only available from applcations which support gphoto interfaces.
So if you want to access the picture from a browser, you might either connect through USB-mode
or in PTP-mode copy from Thunar first to another place accessible from the browser.
