Open Synaptic, click on Installed, find LibreOffice Core 5.4... When you delete that, it will take the rest of the suite with it.

I updated to LO 6 via the Debian Buster repo.I don't mind because I don't have a scanner, but gscan2pdf was removed.

Is there a terminal command to upgrade?

sudo add-apt-repository ppa:libreoffice/libreoffice-6-0-1 doesn't do anything for me.

It is now in stretch-backports so best to use that repo rather than a Ubuntu ppa.
