Black border around monitor. How do I remove it?

#1 Post by troy36s » Wed May 17, 2017 1:26 pm

Hello everyone,

How do I resolve this problem, please? When I install Mepis on my computer I get a black border around my monitor. I get it on ANY operating system not only Mepis.

Does anyone know how I get it to fit the screen? I have the following graphics card:

ATI Radeon 3000 Graphics

It is driving me nuts as I have had the problem for 2 years and nothing seems to work!!

Thank you to anyone in advance who can shed some light on this matter.

What is the EXACT model# and brand of your monitor?
type that into google search, read any specs/review pages you find, to check whether the monitor is, or is not, capable of "edge-to-edge" display. Call it cheating, trickery, marketing... quite a few displays "look" bezel-less when powered off, but during operation they cannot fully fill the screen edge-to-edge.
