The old sound file / wav file .. You may remember it?

#1 Post by KernSpy » Wed Jan 20, 2016 8:54 pm

Hello all,

Looking for old sound file.

Years ago I used to have startup and shutdown sounds configured
on my computers. I remember one particular sound file was
a screaming voice and when you shutdown, it sounded like the
computer was having a fit and screaming ... Come back COME
BACKKK. It was a shocker for company. Anyone remember it?

I've been looking for it for awhile now, but can't find it anyplace.
It is hard to find, because I don't even know the name of it. I'm
pretty sure it isn't from the movie 2001 ASO.

I've searched quite a few (sound-file) collection sites, but come up
empty.

Thanks!

Kern...

Ahh, well, didn't find much there,
but did find this from: <shutdown sound "Come back" wav or oog>
http://www.wavsource.com/people/women1.htm

This seems close:
http://www.wavsource.com/snds_2016-01-1 ... e_back.wav
but there are more...

or, you can make your own? :)

Thanks again Richard .. Still wondering and listening. One of the sites I found
via those search terms, looked very promising, but the site is down, or gone. I'm
checking out those links / sites. Might find it eventually. :crossfingers:
