Does anyone have the classic Openbox/tint2 combo going on our beloved MX?
I was thinking of giving it a try on my laptop and was wondering if any special care or configuring was required in MX.
I’ve also read that it’s possible to use Openbox with the standard Xfce panel. If anyone knows how to get that going I would like to know more about it!
Openbox anyone?
Re: Openbox anyone?
I'm currently running three instances of Openbox & Tint2 on both MX & antiX (plus another on OpenBSD). They are all much the same setup that I've been running for many years now (all with the Worker file manager at their core). Initially on Arch, then on PC-BSD, OpenBSD, Manjaro, Artix & now the two previously mentioned *X's.
It doesn't matter much what is underneath OS wise (as long as it doesn't have systemd), so long as I can make my system the way that I want it, then I'm happy enough. :)

Please search the Forums for "OpenBox" ... I have at least three threads on the subject.
If you go here you'll find some of my MX respins: https://eirenicon.org/knowledge-base/ Here are articles on OpenBox: https://eirenicon.org/?s=openbox

Hmmm, I did a search before I posted but didn't see much on the topic. But I didn't realize there was a Respin forum - I only searched this sub-forum. Thanks for the links though! :)manyroads wrote: ↑Mon Jun 24, 2019 9:01 am Please search the Forums for "OpenBox" ... I have at least three threads on the subject.
