Hi,

I will install my MX Linux with LVM (Logical Volume Manager).
Thanks to great video about LVM in MX linux: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=tSGh7FqQ7_k
I know how to install and manage LVM in MX "live".
But, how to install MX Linux on prepared earlier "LVM" partitions?
I can't find solution with GUI install option.
Let me know please if there is other solution with CLI.

Fingers crossed!

@ beardedragon: thanks for article.

I have checked this txt. We have solution here how to prepare partitions to installation with LVM option (Boot partition and then LVM PV, VG, LV).
After preparation of these partitions we can continue with installation of OS with LVM option (Ubuntu, Fedora, Mandriva, Open SUSE), but MX can't see my created LVM LV during installation, only PV.

I have idea:
1* Create 8GB ext4 partition,
2* Install MX here (all in root partition), Install LVM2,
3* Create LVM: PV, VG, LV, (10% free for snap),
4* Start Live MX and copy data using "cp -a" from my original ext4 root partition to LV, (I had idea to use dd, but in my opinion "cp -a" should be better here)
5* Add OS from LV to GRUB using os-prober and grub-mkconfig
6* Try to boot from LVM LV partition (if os-prober will find OS in my LV and grub-mkconfig will add this MX instance to boot OS list correctly)

What are you thinking about this?
Is it possible to work?

PS
I will use LVM snapshots with MX. I know that we have snapshot option in MX menu but in my opinion it is more like compressed backup than snapshot.
I will test "risky" packets for MX so snapshots are very recommended.
