Working OK now. I am located in the US. Twenty minutes ago it was giving the Not Found message.

However the link on the MX Website does not work.

Hmm, actually, I didn't do the 64-bit upload, I think Adrian did it. My 32-bit version is still up:

https://archive.org/download/MX18.1386

I'm starting to lean toward the malicious complaint theory, unless Adrian accidentally flipped a switch to make those unavailable to non-members or something, since I can still download them, though I'm not the uploader.

Now when I try to go to the file list in another browser, it says the content is only available to logged-in archive.org members, which is not what was happening half an hour ago! Maybe it's just a glitch there.

I'm getting this error:

The item is not available due to issues with the item's content.
Could you please provide magnet links so you never need to depend on trackers or sites hosting .torrent files anymore? Now i'm forced to search around if i can find the file MX18.1X64_archive.torrent somewhere else...

I see it's now in Collections: highbandwidth and logged-in. I wonder if it was downloaded so many times that they automatically moved it to those collections? I've attached a zip of the torrent file, and will like to see if it still works.
MX18.1X64_archive.torrent.zip
The Google says we are too popular now and consuming much bandwidth there. I suppose the torrents will work as long as there are other seeders. The other option is for a downloader to create an account on archive.org, which takes a minute or so. Or we could upload it again to another collection.
Highbandwidth: Items in this collection consume an unusually large amount of archive.org's outbound bandwidth and may be subject to various limiting schemes.
My 32-bit collection there has only 5300 views, so should be OK for a while at least. :crossfingers:

Not a good situation when the MX Website link fails. A user would not necessarily know he would need an account.

Since the torrents are still working as long as they can get the torrent file, how about just providing it directly instead of from archive.org? (and do the same thing for the 32-bit before they change that, too)

That would be a good approach. What changes need to be made on the website?
