I’ve just double-checked it. I also have installed freshly and over an existing and preserving home choosing the Polish language. So it works as promised.
Admittedly my Polish is fairly limited I do found the button-text are translated
But lot of explaining text still is not translated yet.
If you see some translation errors within the installer do not hesitate to report this back here.
I know we will have a new version in place soon. But it might help the translation team to revisit translations for your language.

Looks like it is protecting your /home partition.

As someone mentioned, you must check the box in
[2b. Preferences]
[x] Preserve data in /home if upgrading.

if you want to not overwrite /home.

I'd sure make a backup of /home before doing that, just in case. (I think you have, already)
