You can test this now.
This 32bit deb is built with checkinstall, so it doesn't take care of dependencies or add a launcher - you run ponyprog2000 from a terminal.

The 3.0 version is a complete rewrite and is missing the contents of one folder so I haven't got it to build yet.

And here's the first build of 3.0, using the deb-building scripts included in the source. It's not yet ready for the repository, but it adds a launcher in the menu looks much better than 2.08d.

For 2.08d, just open a terminal and type ponyprog2000
Of course installing 3.0 will uninstall 2.08d.

I don't have the hardware to test these, so let me know how each version works. Hopefully 3.0 will work well, as Qt looks much much better than the Xaw3d widgets used in the 2.x series.

I looked at your pastebin, and really, you need to follow the directions as clearly written in the INSTALL file if you expect to get anywhere using computers. They say

Code: Select all

# make clean
# make

test the executable:
# bin/ponyprog2000

and install (optional):
# sudo make install
Can you see which step you left out? (begins with "m" and ends with "e")

Though the "#" marks at the start of each command--WTH? Those indicate the user is running as root--no, no, bad developer! Should be "$"!
