@Steve_Wakey, do you have a usb stick and a usb port?

Even if you can't boot from usb directly, I can easily make a very small "stub" iso file that you can burn to cd that will allow you to finish the boot from a usb stick. These are so easy to make, we could make them regularly if there was enough demand.

If this interests you, the next step would be to discuss how to make the live-usb. I'd recommend installing live-usb-maker from my github repo. Here are the instructions for installing it:

Another ingenious suggestion - but probably one I can`t do. I am nursing a few bits of old hardware including a USB stick of 256Kb capacity - I`m sure that`s too small (I thought it was massive when new about 10 years ago).
Out of all the ideas in reply to this post, I think the OSDisk one as suggested by Jerry 3904 looks best for me.
