Sorry I did not answer sooner. I had a lot to do yesterday.

It was not asking me anything that I could see.

My mouse was froze as well.

Having a lot to get done, I finally shut it off and installed MX-14.1.1.

It seemed more expedient to do that.
I had MX-14 with updates before.

I successfully applied all upgrades today without any hanging.
There was a message in synaptic about not finding GTK2 or something like that also something about multiarch.
I have made a bunch of changes on my network recently so can't browse until I have time to fix things.
Just wanted to say the changes were applied successfully according to synaptic. I do not think those other messages made any difference. Time will tell.
