Maybe better leave Lazarus 1.2.2 in the testing repo a bit longer. Am trying to resolve a missing file problem.
Gordon
Perhaps this would be better under a separate subject, but : The Lazarus 1.2.2 has missing files. Have tried to see where/what
has happened without much being conclusive. However, the installation of Lazarus 1.2.2 happens without some of the Unit files
with an error saying directory packages/globallinks not found.

Stevo, I am still trying to figure what has happened here. Your package looks okay but Lazarus complains. Then to add to the
problem, Lazarus has been updated to 1.2.4. Suggest you leave things as they are, while i try to resolve just what is happening.

Any comment Richard ?

Gordon.

Morning, rather Evening Gordon,

Had installed 1.2.2 on my netbook with no outward problems, [last week].
Also picked up most of the units I wanted with no problem.

Installing at the moment on the desktop.
Will report how that goes then will try the other units
and let you know how that goes.
Thinkpad T430 & Dell Latitude E7450, both with MX-21.3.1
kernal 5.10.0-26-amd64 x86_64; Xfce-4.18.0; 8 GB RAM
Intel Core i5-3380M, Graphics, Audio, Video; & SSDs.

The base Lazarus-1.2.2 packages installed with no problem.
Now adding most other units except gtk and the source.

Are there any qt units or libs available?

Good evening.

The first 'complaint' I had was that the source was required. Installed that and wrote a very
simple programme, a single form with a Close button. Compiler said that it did not recognise
the Button. More inconclusive tests then did a complete delete all and re-installed. Now most
of the IDE icons are missing. Looks as if problem is in the gtk area, have not ever installed qt.

Looking at the downloaded files, there is no units folder in usr/lib/lazarus/lcl, there was such a
folder in previous Lazarus installations.

Sleep well,
Gordon.
