MX-14 has associated itself with OSDisc to make the OS available pre-loaded on CD or USB Flash Drive, both PAE and non-PAE version:

https://www.osdisc.com/products/antix

We have now added that method to our download page:

http://www.mepiscommunity.org/download-links

A portion of the purchase price is returned to MX-14 and will be used to defray server costs in the future. We believe this is a win-win situation that allows us to reach users who may not be comfortable, or do not want to be bothered, with the first steps of adopting MX-14 as their outrageous new OS.

Don't spend it all in one place.

18 people have clicked through our download page to look so far, but it's not possible AFAIK to tell what % that is of the people who have gone to the download page since this option became available.

I found the following article of interest as I've pondered the progress of USB-based applications like Apache Office for a while and am currently working on learning about and making a personalised MX-14 USB with persistence.

While it's not Linux, the idea below in essence is quite interesting. Cloud storage itself being almost de rigour now for some people, to add to the equation.

I hope this finds you well.

I'd very much like to purchase an MX-14 disc for my older Dell and Fujitsu machines, both of which are currently running antiX12, however I am unsure whether to buy a PAE or non-PAE version.

Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

A thousand thanks, and please accept my

Best regards,
carlnyc

I am unsure whether to buy a PAE or non-PAE version.
Here is what we say about that on the website: http://www.mepiscommunity.org/node/67

If still unsure, post back the specs on those machines. (My uninformed guess would be non-PAE)
