vokoscreen in meta-installer
Has anyone tried vokoscreen from the meta-installer. If I record audio, I get a message about ffmpeg crashing.

Mine won't go 3 seconds without crashing, if I'm recording audio.

Re: vokoscreen in meta-installer
Do any error messages show up when running it from a terminal?dolphin_oracle wrote:Mine won't go 3 seconds without crashing, if I'm recording audio.
And which version of vokoscreen? I see 1.8.10 is now in wheezy-backports...
OK, I've just built 1.9.0, can you try this one out, too?

Re: vokoscreen in meta-installer
I get about two seconds of audio now with 1.9.0 before the sound stops, with the video continuing.
This is a headache, because the sound worked, though it did get out of sync, when I first built and tested 1.9.0 at the beginning of Feb--I still have the saved .mkv videos--and I can't think of what has really changed in the meantime that can affect it.....
OK, sound seems to work when I restrict the area to a window, I wonder if fullscreen is too much for my laptop, even with reducing framerate. Also, mpeg4 recording to an .avi file seems to be broken.

Re: vokoscreen in meta-installer
It was my idea to put it in the meta installer, but perhaps it should be removed, if some systems are going to have resource or sound problems.

"ffmpeg has crashed".
I'm in the middle of backup from restore, so I'll try the new version and report back with the output from the terminal.

Re: vokoscreen in meta-installer
I can see that the problem has already been reported to Debian:
https://bugs.debian.org/cgi-bin/bugrepo ... bug=736976
So maybe we need to use an alternate screen recorder.
