Doerak's opinion on fireworks

#1 Post by Eadwine Rose »

It is in Dutch, but hit the CC button for captions in English.

People are setting off fireworks over here. As far as I am concerned this tradition can up and leave. The first death has just been reported.

Anyway, this is what my kitty thinks about the fireworks.

I am at least glad he's doing well.. I have heard from people who cannot find their animals even though they ARE in the house.

Doerak is a very intelligent cat. He/she understands Dutch! ;) That's more than I can do. I needed to read the subtitles.

I hate fireworks. Last summer someone was setting them off in my neighbourhood every night. Sometimes at one or two in the morning. Several people called the police but it did no good. I live in the Wild West. My dog Nichi goes and hides under my bed. It gets me really angry so I try not to think about it and just accept it. It's bad for my nerves as well.

At least it's only fireworks and not bombs and machine guns which some people have to deal with. We have a lot to be grateful for.

That is an absolute truth indeed. Tomorrow there will be a few loose crackers left and right and that will be it.

I have more of a problem with it because the animals get so upset about it.

You'll pry our fireworks from our cold dead hands (after they've killed us):

Quiet indoor fireworks on your computer screen. They do bang if you turn up the volume.

Didn't know you did videos. Nice to see them.
Beautiful cat.
I'm out in the country where people shoot guns in the air. I could do without it all, too.
