There's also a space disco ball mirror floating around, potentially frustrating astronomers. I wonder if the convertible has one of those nodding dash figures, like a say a dog, or Elvis or a Bowie, perhaps?

I've heard the astrobeddings are orned with 3*3 Warhol-like fluo-rainbow patterns involving Gate, Jobs, Poettering crossed with Edison, Nixon, Reagan, all wearing pimp hats. Not sure about the other 3 figures. Probably hybrids. Or W. 42.

There was a rocket launch from NZ about a week ago that included a space ball mirror in the payload, made up of hex sections I think. It has a limited life but maybe that's what is upsetting them.

For those in Southern California that don't mind getting up before dawn on Sunday, the next Falcon launch at 6:16 am should put on another show if the weather remains clear: http://spacearchive.info/vafbsked.htm

They will also be launching a couple test communication satellites of their own along with Spain's. They want to launch up to 4,000 of those into polar orbit from Vandenberg to provide worldwide high-speed Internet, which means these launches would become a regular thing.
