Wine 1.7.23 is now in the test repository. The pipelight website stopped providing a nice small tarball of patches I could add to the patchset to add Windows Silverlight and Flash compatibility, but I duct-taped the git-pull of wine-compholio's complicated setup into our build system, copying it out of the /debian folder so it did not mess up the original Wine source, which the Debian build system does not allow us to modify before the build.

It looks ugly on the inside, but should work and make updating the rather hefty patchset much easier. (I hope)

I also removed the wine-compholio pulseaudio compatibilty patches, not having any way to test them since I don't use pulse. I can leave them in if anyone needs them.
What's new in this release:

Better support for files drag & drop.
Improvements to the HTTP cookie management.
Initial support for 64-bit Android builds.
Fixes to crypto certificates management.
Various bug fixes.
After updating Wine, netflix-desktop reverted to running in a Wine Firefox, but after I added the User Agent Overrider extension in the Linux Firefox and set it to Windows Firefox 24, plus a reboot or two between tests, netflix-desktop again brings up Netflix in a native Firefox instance, using Pipelight.

We are now up to wine-1.7.32. These are still including the wine-compholio patches for Netfix and pulseaudio compatibility.

As always, if you give this a try, please let us know how it installs and runs. Thanks!

Installed OK. Only tried one program, my email (theBat), which now play's a sound when I received email. I could never get the sound to work in wine till now.

Bump: now at Wine 1.7.36

This basically is wine-staging, since we have all their patches applied.

One of the stock Wine new features is speaker configuration under the Audio tab in winecfg.

We now have 1.7.38, still a rebuild of wine-staging, in the test repository. It needed upgrades of wine-mono4.5.6 and wine-gecko2.36. They'll be pulled in automatically, older versions of those may be left orphaned, and should be uninstalled.

Just a thought: Would this work with Jessie?
