Nice work Danum. Wrote it on a USB thumb drive (had to use the isohybrid treatment) and booted and it works very well.

John downloaded it to my computer via Teamview yesterday (6 hrs, finished at 1:30 am his time). I burned a DVD and installed last night and it looks good. :number1:

I needed to enable the MEPIS11 Repository to download xserver-xorg-input-wacom to get my tablet working.

This morning there were two upgrades to be downloaded they installed without any problems (mepis repositories are turned off).

Synaptic is saying I have two more upgrades and checking with apt-get I see that libmlt++3 and melt have been kept back.

On my computer all the items that are normally located on the right end of the task bar ard missing. The odder (is that a word) thing is the notification about the upgrades pops up on the upper left hand corner of my screen.

Steve

EDIT: The items have returned to the right side of the task manager. The solution was to go into the panel settings and select "maximize panel". :happy:

The second follows from the first, I believe. Since there is no System Tray (you can add the widget), the notifier icon has nowhere to go and is placed in the default screen position.

This *explanation* comes to you from a universally acknowledged tech-challenged MEPIS user...
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 4.15.0-1-386. MX-17.1, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

What else have you installed, because I just installed xserver-xorg-input-wacom from the main Mepis repo, no updates and no packages held, after installation,
default packages are.
melt 0.7.0-1
libmlt++3 0.7.0-1

This comes from having enabled the Debian-Multimedia repo.

If I recall correctly, I was able to get those packages marked for upgrade by first marking libmlt3 for installation, but that causes libmlt4 & kdenlive to be removed.

You can temporarily enable the CR testrepo and upgrade just the libmlt++3, libmlt-data, libmlt4 & melt packages, the upgrade notification will go away and you won't lose kdenlive.

Yes, I did have the Debain-Multimedia repo enabled. Disabled it reloaded and they went away.
