Can you log in?
You should be able to type in your username. What keyboard layout did you set?
The screenshot is confusing me. There is a dropdown list with the label "Other".
If there is no dropdown box at all, than the configuration file for the lightdm is probably missing.
Sorry, I know just very little Russian and the words I know are mostly the same or similar as in my language.
@richb is it alright to create a lightdm configuration file in mx?
This is how I usually create the configuration file in Debian:
sudo mkdir /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d
sudo touch /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-mx.conf
Then I open /etc/lightdm/lightdm.conf.d/50-mx.conf with the text editor and enter:
Code: Select all
[SeatDefaults]
greeter-hide-users=false
greeter-user=username
greeter-hide-users=false show the users
greeter-user=
username is the username that shows up in the LightDM greeter.
I save the file and logout. After that my username is in the dropdown list instead of "Other".
