Hello

#1 Post by Spaceman Spiff » Wed Mar 21, 2018 12:47 pm

Hello, I come from a rolling release, and have been looking for a good fixed release distro. When I first joined the Linux world several years ago, I opted for a rolling release because I liked the idea of only having to install it once. Now that I'm a little older and wiser, I have decided to find a fixed release distro that is really stable and most importantly that has a great, friendly community. I believe I have found it here, however only time will tell :crossfingers: , but so far it looks very promising to be the best distro, :number1: so here's to a promising future with MX and everyone here!

P.S. On distrowatch MX is pretty much number one in both user and professional reviews.

P.P.S How long is MX 17 supported for?

Welcome to the Forum and thank you for the kind words.
A general statement would be that MX 17 will be supported well into the future. More specific answers can be found in this thread.

Thanks. Nice to know that I won't have to reinstall for while.
