So far have seen AntiC, SteveO, and Adrian as familiar names from the Forums at Mepis.org; but I'm sure I'll recognize more people as time passes. So happy to see the community so active over here.
:welcome: Nice to see familiar names :)

Discovered Dedoimedo by chance and got introduce to Mx Linux by him/her.
So being a Linux noob and after trying Manjaro, Fedora, Antergos, Busenlabs, Sabayon, Void Linux, Opensuse, Solus, Slackware, TrueOS, some of the Ubuntu family and a couple more I can't remember right now, Mx 17 works flawlessly where others failed at one thing or another.
Greetings from Portugal and excuse my English :p

OK, I'll say hi.

Hello all. My name is Glenn from Salem Mass, just north of Boston.

I joined this board October 2016 but this may well be my first post here. I'm primarily a Fedora user and have been using Linux for a long time, since the Fedora Core 1 days or well before that. Caldera Linux anyone? Mandrake Linux?

I mutli-boot my desktop and laptop because I like to try as many distros as I can. Too many really. I guess it is a hobby.

There are many extremely stable, usable and pretty distros available today, MX17being one of them. It surely makes it tough to settle on just one. I'm still shopping

So, Fedora I love, but I'm getting tired of the frequent (almost daily) kernel updates. Really high maintenance. MX17 is awesome, as is Lubuntu, Linux Mint, Ubuntu Mate and Voyager Linux to name a few. All of them are usable right out of the box but, I'm like a little kid who can't sit still. I've got to play with them all

Hi all, bonjour à tous,

ex Debian user here and silent linuxian for more or less a decade. I discovered MX and antix a few weeks ago thanks to the without systemd webpage, while looking for, guess what ? a GNU/Linux OS, preferably Debian-based and without systemd.

Aaand, well. Even if there are still traces of this goddam kraken in MX, i stayed for the nice, active dev team and community - and i still test other distros for the sake of it since MX 17 works like a charm on my old laptop :)

About my knowledge in computer science (lol) i'd say i'm an curious end-user knowing a bunch of tricks, not afraid of mettre les mains dans le cambouis (to get my hands dirty), even liking it. Currently exploring the hellish maze of gtk 3.2x CSS, because, you know, customized desktops are fun !

Greetings from the french South-West and, as Biofobico told us : please excuse my english ^^

Sois le bienvenu! Welcome!

We've made pretty good progress on French translations of MX, but if you have time to help please jump in.
