Hello All

Just checking in for the first time and I have to say I can't believe that I haven't paid much attention (or even noticed) MX in the past. I have been using Linux for way too long. I believe my first box had kernel 0.99 and was a 30+ floppy mail order purchase. I think it was Yggdrasil but, to me, it was a bunch of floppies that I bought. It was very painful to install but, back then, it was fun.

I had pretty much stuck with Ubuntu for a time but it seems that Ubuntu has lost it way in the FOSS sense. Anyways, I don't want to ramble but I am found a gem.

Even though I am a long time user and do not consider myself a Linux expert. I use Linux and all that comes with to conduct physics simulations. So, I may need help now and then with system issues.

Thanks for all the hard work that goes into something like MX.

Welcome to MX Linux and the Forum. If we put our heads together, I'm sure we can solve the 3 body problem.

Hi! Chronic distro-hopper coming from Ubuntu Mate. I've always liked Debian, and was a big fan of Crunchbang Linux, but never really loved Openbox. So far I'm very happy with the experience.

Well, I am new, as are you, but I will say Welcome! I was a solid user of Crunch. Sadly, it is gone but we now have MX.

Hi all,
I don't know anyone on the forum except one fellow and I didn't chat with him since he took that hit from a laundry machine in the knee.
Well, this username also looks familiar Jerry3904, maybe I exchanged a couple of messages on some other forum.
Anyway, I know a little bash scripting and learning new things every day.
