Yeah, but I'm back now.
Didn't mean you, glad to see you back

Only been here one day, so not really lurking but wanna say, "hi" anyway. I've used Ubuntu for about 8 years without learning more than enough to make me dangerous to my own system. As I noticed a thing or two going wrong, I'd "fix" them, usually resulting in something else (or multiple other things) going wrong until I decided to find work-arounds instead, taking a "just live with it" approach. Now, I have a new laptop (4 months old), and I started to notice a thing or two going wrong. Decided to reinstall my OS which, you guessed it, wiped the whole thing out. Found out (eventually) that it was a hardware issue, so getting it replaced 'cause it's still under warranty ((whew!)). In the meantime, I've been looking around for another OS that will hopefully save me from myself, and I found MX. I'm pretty excited by it (and I don't even have it on my laptop yet, just from reading about it, and as of today, running it from a Live USB on my old desktop!)!! Love the work you"re doing, love the videos, love the support I'm seeing here in the forum. You guys are awesome!!

Thanks, Gordon. No disrespect meant to the gals. I use "guys" like they do on "The Electric Company", where at the beginning of the show, one of the main characters runs into a problem and shouts, "Hey you G-U-Y-S!" at the top of their lungs and the whole gang comes running to back 'em up. That's how I feel. Like everybody here has got my back!

Yep, a waitress at my breakfast spot always says "Hi guys!" no matter who is sitting at the table. Must be an American thing.

I never thought I'd ever see an Electric Company reference again in my life. Nice! We got two stations with rabbit ears on our 13" B&W, but one was a grainy PBS.

And in Boston and Philly Youz Guyz is so common there are many business that use it (e.g. Youz Guyz Cheessteaks).

Hey All,

I'm a new MX16 user coming from mint cinnamon.

Loving MX16 at the moment, only been using a couple of days but it feels ultra quick, great work.

Interested to see where this might go in the future.

Lets skip the six other layers and get straight to the physical.

After being away for a while, I'm able to come back around to see what you all have been up to. So far have seen AntiC, SteveO, and Adrian as familiar names from the Forums at Mepis.org; but I'm sure I'll recognize more people as time passes. So happy to see the community so active over here.
