I finally tackled a package for Linux, here they are for you to try. Maybe you can say goodbye to Wine, too?

The built-in help is broken for some reason, though.

Just installed it and it is working dandy! Gdebi took care of three dependencies and it's running just fine! YES!

Thanks for the test. The developer's documentation about building it was missing quite a few build-depends, but I think I got them all. Also added an icon cut out from a graphic in the html docs, and a quickly adapted .desktop file so it would show up in the menu under Games.

Which it all did, yep. Icon is there, menu item is there.

Is there a spot I can link to where people who would want to install this (say, I want to share it on the puzzlers forum for those few who use linux with .deb) can get it?

looks like steveo's sent it up and I see it's in the test repo now. So for any MX/M12 user, they'd just need to enable their test repo long enough for a reload and install.

The chances of them being an MX user are nil. I was wondering about the other .deb users. Or is this simply not possible?

Probably the best bet for the other .deb users would be for them to put in a package request at their respective forums.

I'll leave it in the Google Drive: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1UMhs ... sp=sharing

However, it depends on the exact version of libboost it was built against, 1.49 in our case. An Ubuntu user may not have that available, and a Jessie user has 1.55, in which case they would have to rebuild the package. That's fairly easy now that there are Debianized source packages in that zip.

I'll build Jessie-compatible and M11 packages. An Ubuntu user would benefit from a PPA that builds multiple versions. Few other distros have a community repo like ours, and the Ubuntu and Debian repos are large and move slowly. Webup8 or playdeb would probably repackage it, though, and maybe get the help working.

Hrmm.. I would say they can put in the requests then at their own forums, much easier than having to deal with "this isn't working!"

At least this one helped me! Thanks sooo much again Stevo!
