Thank you for everyone who replied and tried to shed some light on this! :happy:

Based on the context of your replies, it is recommended to use which is available on the Package Installer repositories.

Mainly because:
1. Probably the extra plumbing for the "developers" who are hellbent to do what they want is not worth it. It may cause problems sooner or later.
2. Packages are put into their respective repositories for a reason and the MX Team are making sure to bring out the best for everyone (Kudos for this!)

Well these are just my two centavos so...
