OpenVPN Troubles

#1 Post by gbhollr »

Since I couldn't get NordVPN itself to work on my MX Linux, I have to rely on OpenVPN which works but not quite as well as I'd like at times.
Sometimes, the server I connect to runs as slow as molasses so I have to pick a new ovpn file from random and I have almost thousands of them downloaded
from my VPN's website.

I wonder if anyone's had similar issues and how they deal with it.

I heard about this and many other things about NordVPN which is why I use Asrill VPN. With any VPN you should only have a small speed hit and the amount of increase in ping times depends on which server you chose. Closer is better for ping times.
I am command line illiterate. :confused: I copy & paste to the terminal. Liars, Wiseguys, Trolls, and those without manners will be added to my ignore list. :mad:

Just installed NordVPN using MX package Installer -> Network
after logout / login vom Xfce
I could enter login details from the terminal like this:

Code: Select all

$ nordvpn login
Please enter your login details.
Email / Username:
Password:
Welcome to NordVPN! You can now connect to VPN by using 'nordvpn connect'.

That's why I'm using superVPN, there are no such problems with it. I use it for almost a year and there was no complaints.
