"Slow (2.723 Seconds), 70% of sites are faster."... really?

Sounds wrong, are we really getting more visitors to main page than to forum? Also, the main page doesn't seem slow, and actually 2.7 sec. is not that bad, try some news sites...

That did surprise me as well. The Main page is certainly not slow for me. Even through a VPN it is instantaneous, certainly less than one second.

My guess is Alexa simply grabs all the data for a page and makes up a time for the total amount of KB it grabs. If the total KB size of all images for the slideshow are included then it would increase the download time, even though the slideshow only displays one image on the page at any one time.

In my view the "slow" rating by Alexa is fundamentally flawed.

I question the validity of that stool-pigeon Alexa. Neither mxlinux.org or forummxlinux.org is slow. That site just wants people to join to get to see all the false information so Spamazon can spy on them.

It's probably the time its spider takes to crawl the entire site.

I would think most people would go to the main website first, looking for information about MX and for download links, then only visit the forum later if they have questions. The fact that more people are presumably downloading MX than there are looking for help on the forum speaks well for this distro IMO, because that says to me that most people aren't having any problems with it.
