Readme file from the Ukuu github wrote:Debian & Other Linux Distributions

This application fetches kernels from kernel.ubuntu.com which are provided by Canonical and meant for installation on Ubuntu-based distributions. These should not be used on Debian and other non-Ubuntu distributions such as Arch Linux, Fedora, etc.
MX is based on Debian, not Ubuntu. Ukuu may or may not work. The good news is if you break it you get to keep both halves

Never heard of Ukuu. I've been trying different ubuntu kernels though, like the one shown below, but I download them manually from: http://kernel.ubuntu.com/~kernel-ppa/mainline/ and install with gdebi.

I only download and install the linux-image-* packages, don't bother with the headers because they're almost always uninstallable and I don't need to build any modules anyway.

Likely the only packages affected would be those that build kernel drivers like virtualbox or nvidia.
Hardware support could possibly change as well depending on what kernel drivers are built-in, built as modules or not built at all.

You might also notice differences in how much time certain actions take depending on what scheduler each kernel uses.

You can uninstall and install different kernels using ukuu. The grub is updated with each kernel change. You can also enable blocking kernels like new rc releases using ukuu settings and only install mainline kernels and new released kernels.
