I just installed mono-complete from the Synaptic Package Manager, and I don't know where the IDE is for it.

I can compile and run a simple HelloWorld.cs file, so I know it's working to some capacity.

Running MonoDoc that was installed gives me the following error:

Code: Select all

Changed the topic title for you, now states MX instead of Mepis.

Goodness. I didn't see the date. :p

I downloaded via the Synaptic Package Manager. Still new to MX and Linux, so bear with me. I have not attempted to download directly from them.

You're all friendly, so I'll admit I'm trying to find a good way to continue my .NET development over on Linux. Perhaps port some of my older code to it - which is why I checked out Mono.

I see that VSCode is more for front-end use, and I don't see a package for dotnet core 3.1, which I would really like to see.

Curious to hear from other MX Linux users developing with C#.
