So...do any of those Ubuntu kernels you're using implement the Intel SPI drivers that are bricking some machines? :mad:

Yet another reason to prefer AMD.

http://ppa.launchpad.net/teejee2008/ppa ... _amd64.deb stevo those packages for kernel are also in debian and are easy to upgrade .I only upgrade to to mainline packages.They seem to work well Using installed mx linux as they are not expermintal .Thanks john

The liquorix kernel in mxtools kernel package is not nice after installing.kernel 4.14.8 system would not boot I installed the 4.14.11 after booting the 4.13 kernel mx 17. and have had no problemns.thanks john
