MX-14.3 comes with the 3.14 kernel.
Do you maybe mean "How do I upgrade the kernel in MX 14.2 to 3.14?" {MX-14.2 is what's in your signature}
Anyway, this will install it

Code: Select all

sudo apt-get install linux-{headers,image}-3.14-0.bpo.2-686-pae
edit: change the "686-pae" to "486" if you want the non pae kernel.

In the future, you can just search the Manual (using the standard Ctrl-F) for such common questions as these, where you will find this in one click:

http://www.mepiscommunity.org/user_manu ... ection-7.6
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, Kingston SSD 120 GB and WesternDigital 1TB
Testing: AAO 722: 4.15.0-1-386. MX-17.1, AMD C-60 APU, 4 GB

Thanks for the tip on using the manual. I upgraded to MX-14.3 but it appears I do not have 3.14 kernel

To upgrade to 14.3 you have to follow the migration directions:

http://mepiscommunity.org/migration

As you will see, they include manually upgrading the kernel.

Followed the above and 3.14 is now installed. Thanks
