Anti spam question at registration.

#1 Post by dolphin_oracle »

Is it possible to but multiple choice answers with the antispambot question? It occasionally pops it that registering on the forums here can be a little tricky and/or frustrating. Just a thought. Thanks.

Have to look at the software, but I have no objection to the general idea.

Nope, questions only. If people know of valid entries that are rejected, we can add them to the list.

There is not a way to do this in the software. Multiple answers can be coded but not multiple choice.

EDIT: However, questions could be designed that have the answer in the question. Which I guess is multiple choice.
Example: Who was not a US president? Washington, Lincoln. Roosevelt, Robin Hood.

Please be very careful in any use of multi-choice. I've been moderating exam papers since the 1970's and know that use of such a system, while appearing to be simple, is fraught with traps for the unwary.

That sounds reasonable to me. For instance the current animal tilde question could offer snake bear or spider.

Added, though for the life of me I can't see either one...

You have to put the answers within the question to see the multiple choice.
As this is an open forum guests can see, I will not give the example. I will put it in the mod forum.
