Upgraded to LO 5.1.3.2
Upgraded to LO 5.1.3.2
Got "LibreOffice Fresh" directly from the LO site because of a number of problems I was running into with 5.2.1.2 (I think that was it), especially save-as dialog box not recognizing mounted data partition which was a royal PITA. GUI automatic settings seem to be working much better, which is nice since I use this application so much.
Production: 4.15.0-1-amd64, MX-17.1, AMD FX-4130 Quad-Core, GeForce GT 630/PCIe/SSE2, 8 GB, SSD 120 GB, Data 1TB

Yes, I prefer to install the original.
There is still a hard freeze in Calc when resizing an image,
but the fix is kind of like Hee Haw --"Don't do that!"

I hate that default (not using any mounted fuse filesystems). I believe it also affects our libreoffice 4.3 as shipped. (see this bug report from alpha 4, along with a fix http://forum.mepiscommunity.org/viewtop ... 31#p367631) It also affects samba shares depending on how they are mounted.Jerry3904 wrote:Got "LibreOffice Fresh" directly from the LO site because of a number of problems I was running into with 5.2.1.2 (I think that was it), especially save-as dialog box not recognizing mounted data partition which was a royal PITA. The fresh version 5.1.3.x does in fact make the connection OOTB.I believe it also affects our libreoffice 4.3 as shipped.

yeah, that's what I figured. the ubuntu version does as well. AFAICT, debian messes with the desktop file when they package it for their repos.Jerry3904 wrote:The fresh version 5.1.3.x does in fact make the connection OOTB.I believe it also affects our libreoffice 4.3 as shipped.

Re: Upgraded to LO 5.1.3.2
I have version 5.1.2.2 that was preinstalled & have not come across any issues. Everything works & looks just like the 4x I was using.

LibO page is super dense.
An incredible amount of info piled on top of one another.
