Libre Office Spell Checker Got Tired and Fell Asleep

Post by joany » Sat Jun 28, 2014 5:28 pm

I'm been working on a document using LO Writer that I periodically update. Initially, the spell checker would automatically underline misspelled words, but over time it just stopped working. Oddly, it still picks up misspellings in the footnotes, but not the main text. When I start a new document, the spellchecker works fine. It only stopped working in the document that has been edited and saved repeatedly. I guess it just got tired and fell asleep.

Is there some way to kick start a LO document into behaving like it was a new document?

BTW, this isn't a problem with the new LO upgrade. It's been happening with previous versions.
