The output that you have quoted lists the new MDS vulnerability therefore the kernel knows about it and is reporting that it is mitigated.

If the output of my command doesn't have an MDS line then the kernel doesn't know about it and is therefore vulnerable.

You don't need the script at all.

The problem is that the last character of the link is an underscore ( _ ). Underscores at the end of a link don't show up as part of the link but are shown appended after. You can add it manually in the address bar and hit enter after the link fails.

Actually the center portion is missing. The link I posted using verbiage with the full underlying link works fine.
