yeah I am multi-replying, pfft :p

That reminds me of one time when my ex and I were still dating. He drove this fancy luxury car (for that day and age, we're talking VERY early 90s here and it was his dad's car) and drove me home. We weren't really paying attention, and all of a sudden the signs above the road changed looks.

I find it all interesting... the county I live in (Colorado) is about the size of Luxembourg. And, we have 64 counties. :lipsrsealed:

Edit: or viewed another way, the Netherlands would fit into Colorado about 6.3 times over. :p I guess the good news is that the Netherlands has about 3 times Colorado's population. And, a million times Colorado's known published history.

The Ren fair is very near to where I live (about 15 miles...or 24 klicks) ;)

So far so good. 18.2 is running. In the meanwhile i'm doing this and that and some things work out, others don't. Have to discover how to get my facebook games working, there's an error something about context 3d not available. Also my subtitle edit that i used in windows, doesn't work yet. There's another subtitle editor in Linux, but that doesn't appeal to me.

Someone said to download mono, but mono doesn't give a mx-version. Well, i'll go along and discover Linux. I don't really like it right now, but i didn't like windows in the beginning too. So takes getting used to.

Welcome to Linux and the forum. You can start other posts for any help you need.

If you do one on your subtitle's it would be nice to know the container of the video file (mkv etc.), or are they separate files. I know there are some here that do video editing. The more input you can give is better to provide you with options.

One tip as you read some posts that have commands in them that you start a command text file with the command and say's what it does, that you may use later.
It is easier to fight for one's principles then to live up to them.

Yes, we don't measure distance in hours in the U.S., but in how many fill ups of gas to get there :)
Great that your friend is using MX. Lots of people come to Linux out of necessity--Windows just quits working on their hardware and they are ready to try something else.
