Was surprised when I saw the following article that tells how to install Linux apps on Chrome OS and that the source for them is Debian 9. I guess it shouldn't surprise me as Google did switch from Ubuntu in house to Debian, but it's nice to see even Google appreciates Debian stability:

Edit: This article suggests Chrome OS eventually will let different distros run on Chromebooks.
