Yes I was watching this also. MX Linux was gaining about 10 spots on average per day. With the quality of this build and all the tools and good stuff, MX Linux will from now on stay in top 5. It well deserve it!
Looking through the Distrowatch history MEPIS topped out at #4 in 2006, so thanks to the hard work of everybody involved in MX you could say it’s now almost back to it’s peak. Not that it cannot climb higher of course.
