Hitting #1 by default probably is leading to a lot of curiosity downloads and click-throughs to see what the fuss is about.

Manjaro put up a last gasp effort effort to stay ahead in the last last few days as we neared, but has now collapsed and is falling behind quickly.

How long has it been since MX 18 was released? It's even more impressive that this has occurred so far from a new release.

MX 18.0 was released in mid-Dec 2018, 18.2 around 19 March 2019 (this from memory)

A belated congratulations to the MX team for the #1 spot!
(This time, I searched the forums thoroughly to make sure I don't mistakenly create a duplicate thread)

May I add my CONGRAT's as well. I'd like to add that some of the credit has got to go to Woodford and the MEPIS bunch; some of whom I see on this forum. I liked Simply MEPIS. I was crushed when Warren had to make a living without it. LIfe goes on and I really hope that you guys will keep MX ALIVE AND KICKING for a long time to come. I really is number one on my computer!!

We have shot up to 5,832 hits per day over the past week. This is over a 20% increase compared to the previous three weeks (4689). I wonder what is going on and why it is going on now. My guess is it is a positive feedback loop from recently becoming "officially" #1.

Yeah - that hitting the #1. would indeed contribute to that massive spike.

We've already seen some nasty attacks on Distrowatch and they can also be found in forum threads of some of the major distros, Comments of videos, etc. This is where we need to remain on the High Road.
