FreeCad needed a newer Qt5, so that's a non starter.

Working on the new gimp-2.10.10 release instead.

Yes, it's done, it at least starts up and does stuff when I installed it, so it should soon be in the test repo.

I'm doing the new Hugin 2019.0.0 release now.

Trying Kicad 5.1 again from Sid. Apparently, it can be configured in the build to not require python3-wxgtk4.0 and a new python-swig, which would break a lot of existing packages. There's a lot of buttons to push and levers to pull to get this to work, so it may take several tries.

Edit: After 4-5 attempts, fixed it so it builds, installs, and runs correctly. On its way to the test repo.
