Packages being worked on by the Repo Team
Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team
I hope that one day it is possible to install automatically translations (at least for Firefox, Thunderbird, etc.). That would be a great feature.

Re: Packages being worked on by the Repo Team
Weird---I was just trying that, and I get a linking error in both pbuilders and in an MX 17 real install. I set up a Buster pbuilder and the build succeeded in that, but that doesn't do much good.
3.17.7-2 also fails with the same error, so I am thinking that the major reworking they did for that revision at their conference is what's breaking the build. Let me try 3.17.7-1.
Anyway, finished:
corebird 1.7.3 for MX 17
ffmpeg 3.4.1 for MX 15/16 & 17.
Grub-customizer 5.0.7 for MX 15/16 & 17. Cut the cruft out of the build-depends and the rules file, too.
Liquorix kernel 4.14-12.

It's weird that ld can't find libhpipp when it's right where it ought to be with the rest of the libraries ld finds.
Running the command that throws that error from the terminal results in success, so it's likely some makefile quirk.

3.17.7-1 from snapshot.debian.org builds where -2 fails, so it's got to be something they did in their refactoring of the build.

I found a patch on the Nix project github that lets the Stunt Rally racing game build on MX 17's gcc-6, so I'm trying that.
