My T430 is great many ways, except for the lack of numlock/capslock indicator.
I found the following link for a bit of code that purports to put an indicator on the screen:

When you have a moment please take a look to see if it can be packaged, or how I might get an indication of Caps/Numlock.

indicator-keylock is in our default repos in MX 17. Probably in MX 16 as well.
