Hi, I removed the official client downloaded from the telegram site and installed the "telegram-desktop" package, but it doesn't appear in the menu and it won't start if I launch it via terminal. How can I make telegram client work? thank you in advance

What do you get if you run "telegram-desktop" from the terminal?

Here it is:

Code: Select all

$ telegram-desktop
Cannot connect to server socket err = File o directory non esistente
Cannot connect to server request channel
jack server is not running or cannot be started
JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for 4294967295, skipping unlock
JackShmReadWritePtr::~JackShmReadWritePtr - Init not done for 4294967295, skipping unlock
I just realised that with "sudo" the client works.
