TV-MAXE

#1 Post by mikhail21393 »

Code: Select all

TV-MAXE is an application which provides the ability to watch TV stations and listen radio via different streams, such is SopCast. Currently it has a large number of channels, both romanian and international.
Upstream project seems to be no longer active
https://code.google.com/p/tv-maxe/

But there are old and recent PPA links I've found
https://launchpad.net/~trebelnik-stefin ... tu/tv-maxe
https://launchpad.net/~venerix/+archive/ubuntu/pkg

There is also a Debian Package from the Debian Romania Forums but it's an outdated version:
http://forum.debian-linux.ro/viewtopic.php?f=18&t=258

The problem is the sp-auth is also outdated too and it seems to be no longer working, but I did an experiment and downloaded manually the deb package of the sp-auth from Ubuntu V3n3riX PPA, and extracted and moved these files into the /usr/bin/ with the older version of debian package and it's now working.

Now I post this since I didn't find out this package on MXLinux Community Repo, I would like to request that if you can backport it from the recent Ubuntu PPA and if you do that I would be very grateful.

Thanks in advance!

Mikhail

I did an initial build. It runs, but so far it won't play any stations. I'll have to do some troubleshooting...
HP Pavillion TP01, AMD Ryzen 3 5300G (quad core), Crucial 500GB SSD, Toshiba 6TB 7200rpm
Dell Inspiron 15, AMD Ryzen 7 2700u (quad core). Sabrent 500GB nvme, Seagate 1TB
