Couple of version higher than the 0.9.0 in the repos. I realize these are in a beta, but I would give it ago.
Thanks
Scott

Re: Freemind
There's no problem rebuilding the stable 1.0.1 version from the sources at Getdeb, but the patches for that version fail to apply to the newer 1.1.0 beta 2 source, so the build fails. I'll send up the stable version--have you tried to manually run their beta version per the instructions they provide?
Re: Freemind
Not yet. Just saw it was available. Can give it a go after work.
Thanks Stevo

Re: Freemind
Downloaded and installed "ant" as per the readme.txt. When I try to run the program, there are a lot of java errors that are spilled on the screen.
The same the other 2 listed in the readme.txt. I've tried it with both sudo and not. Can't be that hard, must have missed something.
Code: Select all
ant dist

Re: Freemind
found one of the script files was not made to be executeable, run the ant command, the program appears to build, still no joy in getting it to run.

Re: Freemind
I got the 1.1.0 beta 2 source to build and install but it won't run in a vm.

Re: Freemind
scratch that, somehow I got it run. Not ideal, both 0.9.0 and the 1.1.0 are on the computer in two different areas.
thanks

Re: Freemind
No,
Doing a dpkg-source with the 1.0.1 version sticks a .pc folder at the debian level. I lifted said .pc folder and stuck it in with the 1.1.0 beta 2 extracted source folder and created a new orig.tar.xz from that wad then stuck the 1.0.1 debian folder in with the 1.1.0 source, updated the stanza to 1.1.0 and it built.
