On my Acer Aspire One 722, there is no indicator light for Caps Lock. I duckduckwent the problem, and found a lot of references to this small package developed for Ubuntu:

I couldn't find that, but wonder if one of you could and see if it will install on MX-14 b1.

Re: indicator-keylock
I haven't installed it, but here's the directory with the prebuilt .deb packages http://ppa.launchpad.net/tsbarnes/indic ... r-keylock/Jerry3904 wrote:On my Acer Aspire One 722, there is no indicator light for Caps Lock. Re: indicator-keylock
Thanks! The latest version throws up a libpango dependency error, but I will try some of the earlier ones when I have some time.
Thinking it might be a nice little addition to the CR since one of the targets of MX-14 are netbooks like mine.
EDIT: yep, the next one earlier (indicator-keylock_3.0.1-0~ppa0_i386.deb) will install with 4 extra packages. Going to try it on my laptop.
EDIT EDIT: excellent, now whenever caps lock or num lock is pressed, a small notification appears.

Re: indicator-keylock
The Debianized source is there too, so Tim or Stevo should be able to build it for the CR.Jerry3904 wrote:Thanks! The latest version throws up a libpango dependency error, but I will try some of the earlier ones when I have some time.

Re: indicator-keylock
That was a quick, easy one.
Indicator-numlock is now in the M12 Testing CR

Re: indicator-keylock
indicator-capslock, the most recent version--yeah!
Installed on MX-14 with no trouble, menu entry inserted that brings up a small helpful option box. Works perfectly.
Thanks.

Re: indicator-keylock
Yeah, I got un-lazy after the post and checked the list. Sorry...

Re: indicator-keylock
That has been bugging me as well. Thanks for bringing it up Jerry and Kent for the location of the deb.
