Bumping this thread up.

Some really nice wallpapers have been submitted so far - thank you - but we need more!

Could the submitters post some detail about their contributions in this thread?

1. name of WP
2. source of WP [esp if it was taken/created by yourself or someone you know who is willing to give it to MX]
3. if a licence or the contributer requires attribution, to say so and state the licence/terms involved

Most of the ones I've submitted already has the information included. Only the first four (submitted before license information was required when uploading) are without the license and the photographers name.

@richb, your pictures appear to have been uploaded at a small size.

Which brings me to my question: how does one resize a pic? I have 2 submissions that are either too large, and/or have different length x breadth proportions.

Gimp is the easy way. Crop them to the approximately right proportions if needed and then scale. Scale can be found in the layer tab.
There's a small thing to click in the scale box if you don't want to keep the proportions.

They were sized at 1920x1080. Those that I uploaded for MX-16. I cannot say that for ones uploaded years ago.

@richb the two images you submitted are very small ~600X400. If you have the larger size you mentioned - 1920x1080 - upload again and I will delete the small ones.

I see the problem. Slimjet automatically resizes down the images uploaded. I will use a different browser. I am on my way out and will upload this afternoon. Feel free to delete the previous images.

I was surprised you've requested the mx logo be pre-applied/embedded into the images.
If rescaled versions of these images are created (e.g. 1280x1024), the logo will wind up displaying smaller than intended.
If rescaled versions are not created/utilized, logo will appear squatty/disproportionate when 1920x1200 is shoehorned into a 1920x1080 or 1366x768 screen.

Worked fine in MX-15, didn't it? And if there are problems, it's very easy to create wallpapers without a logo from the original workfiles.
This way they can be seen as they will appear on the desktop.
