Funny thing is I'd installed MX14 for him on the netbook but never tested it out myself.
Well I can safely say that it works very well. Sure, the Atom CPU isn't the fastest and the RAM is only 1 GB, but I've had absolutely no problems with it and battery life is excellent, with Firefox (2 - 3 tabs), Libreoffice and pdf documents opened.
I worked a total of about 4.5 hours on it this morning and there was still about 20+% of battery life left. I had a break in between, for breakfast and the suspend function worked fine when I shut the lid.
Disclaimer: The Acer is fitted with a 3rd party larger battery because the original battery died. But still....
