You're running antiX 19 b3 according to inxi, not MX, so this question is in the wrong forum.

FWIW, you can check to see if your printer is supported (by Linux in general) and which version of HLIP you need for your printer. Click on the link below. If you get this in time that is.

Actually, this is in the antiX box of MX Forum.
It really needs A BIG SPLASH to announce it..
Often overlooked.

Thanks to the Moderator for moving this thread to the Antix section of MX Forums.

I have searched the web with my friend Google Search, read far more than I dreamed of reading about hplip and hp-plugins and this printer that worked well connected to a windows 7 system.
hp-setup for one reason or another finally found the printer and then I was in a loop that never stopped, downloading the plugin, running hp-plugins more than a dozen times and finally disappointed I shut the system off and walked away. Bike ride later, I turned the system on and amazingly I had a working scanner and printer.

Haven't got a clue why the printer could not be seen, then when seen why it kept asking me to install plugin over and over again.

Bottom line results the Printer is installed. Maybe it is Antix b3 and it still has a few rough edges, or it is completely operator error...

Yes, it is amazing how some printers defy reality.

I have a 4 year old HP-P1102w. HPLIP has been a bit weird since an upgrade or two ago.

I installed the plugin but every time I start to print it says I need to install the plugin. I cancel the message and it prints fine. I did reinstall that blessed plugin 2 or 3 times before I tried ignoring the message.

Well regardless. I'm glad you got it working!
