I have noticed using qBittorrent software for all torrent seeding: antix I see there is not a reannounce time for either mxrepo.com or resonatingmedia.com
yet for MX-18 torrents I am seeding all have a reannounce times. I do not know much about torrents, but maybe that is one reason Antix is not getting the activity is always has had.

Coppersurfer.tk seems to be the most active torrent, for MX18 64bit version with almost double the activity of any MX-18.1 torrent.
The Distrowatch's resonatingmedia.com and mxrepo.com Antix torrents have the same name and were combined as single torrent in qBittorrent

I do not know how I added the Coppersurfer.tk torrent, as I used Distorwatch, and archive.org to start seeding.

This is all I have noticed different about the AntiX torrents, as they are much slower than I have ever seen.

JR, what tool are you using to detect the reannounce times (or the lack of them)? I'd like to recreate here.

I am using qBittorrent software.
On the bottom of the screen there are buttons/tabs: General, Trackers, Peers, HTTP Sources, and Content

If you check you will find a lot of information in the various tabs,

Archive.org
uploaded for MX.18.1386 - 104.7 GIB
uploaded for MX.18.1X64 - 168.8 GIB

Today I have this note in the (general tab) for MX.18.1386 and MX.18.1X64 - Nothing was uploaded overnight for either torrent: This content hosted at the Internet Archive at https://archive.org/details/MX18.1386
Files may have changed, which prevents torrents from downloading correctly or completely; please check for an updated torrent at https://archive.org/download/MX18.1386/ ... ve.torrent
Note: retrieval usually requires a client that supports webseeding (GetRight style).
Note: many Internet Archive torrents contain a 'pad file' directory. This directory and the files within it may be erased once retrieval completes.
Note: the file MX18.1386_meta.xml contains metadata about this torrent's contents.

I just started seeding in different MX system and discovered the Distrowatch MX-18.1_x64 torrent adds the Coppersurfer.tk torrent...
Seems with all the activity for MX, AntiX should also be on Coppersurfer.tk

Those aren't the torrent names from our tracker. You're looking at someone else's.
http://l2.mxrepo.com/torrents
The issue is that creating a torrent with the same iso file and the same defaults will result in the same hash for the torrent file even if the trackers in it are different.

Tim I have been seeding 64 bit from Archive.org since Feb/13.19 8:14 haven't changed the name on torrent just seeding... (uploaded for MX.18.1X64 - 168.8 GIB)
Nor have I created a torrent.

Also have been seeding 32 bit from Archive.org since Feb/13.19 8:16 haven't changed the name on torrent just seeding... (uploaded for MX.18.1386 - 104.7 GIB )

I was seeding from LinuxTracker but moved when you announced the Archive.org change.
I deleted the torrent when we changed torrent locations, and downloaded new, did not reuse the old file from Linuxtracker...

I am also uploading antix and MX from distrowatch
antiX-17.4.1_x64-full.iso
MX-18.1_x64.iso

Saving all seeds/downloads in different locations on same hard drive.

@namida12 We are no longer using archive.org to host our torrents because they were refusing downloads from un-registered accounts.

We have now set up our own torrent servers for hosting both MX and antiX. Here are the torrent download links.

MX
https://mxlinux.org/torrent-files/

antiX
https://antixlinux.com/torrent-files/

EDIT: Hope this helps. We would very much like to know how they perform from your location!!

I am now seeding from a Dell Inspiron 570 rather than my main system -
Antix 17.4.1 32 and 64 bit Full from MXrepo.com
MX-18.1 both the _32 and _64 bit from MXrepo.com

From Distrowatch
antiX-17.4.1_64-full <--- Trackers were combined when I added Antix 17.4.1_64 from mxrepo.com
Mx-18.1_64 <--- Trackers were combined when I added Mx-18.1_64 from mxrepo.com Guess who ever has permission to upload to Distrowatch should provide a slightly different name so the tracker will not be combined in the future.

I am still finding higher of activity on Coppersurfer.tk that appear to have come from Distrowatch MX-18.1_64 Torrent not much from MXrepo. Have no reannounce time in this torrent, but I have reannounce times in the general button/tab on torrents from MXrepo.com torrents now.

I shared over 200 GIB from Archive.org on the other system and hope to do more from these different torrent links.
58.1 GIB uploaded in less than a week via Coppersurfer

Distrowatch takes the MX officially posted .torrent files and piggybacks on them by adding ours (and others) to their own torrent server. Like our newly built torrent servers, Distrowatch uses a tracker (opentracker) with a seeder (qbittorrent or rtorrent). That is why the trackers are combined automatically and the .torrent file names are the same. What Distrowatch is doing is akin to what an individual user does when they choose to seed from their own bittorrent client (Transmission, qBittorrent, etc.) but they also have their own tracker (based on opentracker http://erdgeist.org/arts/software/opentracker/ by Dirk Engling). Having a tracker facilitates seeding and other functions.
If you take a look at their webpage, coppersurfer.tk and you will see that they also use opentracker by Dirk Engling as the tracker. This is one of thousands of free trackers out there...with no whitelist on the tracker, traffic can come from anywhere. BTW, the reannounce time that you mention is a function of your bittorrent client, not the torrent servers.

Many thanks for actively seeding! Whatever torrents are currently posted on archive.org are posted by individuals at this point. MX decided to stop using archive.org because they began blocking downloads of .torrent files from non-members...we think that was because our traffic levels triggered an alarm in their system...That event caused us to build our own torrent servers.
